Welcome to Amberley Rail Group.
The following information is from Dave Bennett who was the group trainer until 2017 when he became unable to attend the museum on a regular basis. He also acts as the IT person, having been in the profession for 25 years. He says
"I am not sure when I shall be at Amberley, so if you need any information, feel free to contact me, preferably by email (chufflebang@datmanbu.net) "

I attach a copy of our general information and one about our online system. You will find references to the Rule Book; it is online and also there are 'library' copies in the hut.

To enable you to safely move around the railway area, and in close proximity of moving locos and wagons, you must immediately make yourself acquainted with the following rules in the  Rule Book: Section 1A:General Rules, 1F:General Operating Rules and Appendix 2:Hand Signals.

We hold our details online in an area of Dave's website:- datmanbu.net/roster It holds training and information documents, and also a calendar that shows who is booked for duties; this holds our contact details. It is all protected by passwords and is not visible to Google or other search engines. It uses cookies to store minimal information, none of which is 'personal'.

I have added your details. Other members of the group can see your name, phone and email plus an indication of your availability for passenger duties; only website administrators can see your full information(John Stanton, Gerry Cork and the website owner)

You can change your personal details, including user name and password. Only administrators can change your authorisations(driver, guard, etc).

There is a page of help facilities.

Please confirm receipt of this and I will send you the general user name and password in 2 separate emails.
Your calendar user name is the same as your email address; your personal password will be in a further email; you will be able to change these once you log on.

Please do not disclose any of this to anybody who is not a Rail Group member.
